Free Courses offered

The I-CAN offers free courses to citizens at entry level. For citizens who never had an opportunity to work on a computer, will be able to do an introductory level course. The number below displays the number of citizens that have signed up for free courses at the Centre from Sept 2015 – March 2017.

Funded Courses offered

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) funded a unique skills program that empowered 761 citizens with various courses from October 2015 to March 2017. The aim of the skills programme was to boost digital skills within local communities and economic growth.
The graph below indicates how beneficiaries (empowered by DEDAT funded skills) were impacted throughout the current and post funding cycle.

Paid Courses offered

Students who completed the I-CAN DEDAT funded courses showed great interest in continuing their studies with G-CITI which resulted in courses that ran over 3, 6 and 12 months offered at the Centre in 2017. These courses offered by G-CITI is part of their sustainability which on the other hand are unique courses that have become essential towards employment for students.
