Free Courses Offered / Workshops & Projects Students Empowered


The I-CAN offers free entry level digital courses to citizens at entry level. For citizens who never had an opportunity to work on a computer, will be able to do an introductory level course. The number of citizens that have signed up for free courses at the Centre from Sept 2015 – Sept 2018.

Paid Courses Offered Students Empowered

Students who completed the I-CAN DEDAT funded courses showed great interest in continuing their studies with G-CITI which resulted in enrolling for courses that ran over 3, 6 and 12 months offered at the Centre in 2017. These courses offered by G-CITI which forms part of their sustainability which on the other hand are unique courses that have become essential towards employment for students and addressing the demand of the IT sector.

Funded Courses Offered Students Empower

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) funded a unique digital skills program that empowered 915 citizens with various courses from Sept 2015 to Sept 2018.The aim of the skills programme were to boost digital skills within local communities for economic growth.
